I was at Cars and Coffee this morning and was talking to someone who has a LaFerrari(he’s taken it once before, but today he just had his 488 GTB)and he mentioned how he was heading to the dealer to spec out his LaFerrari Spider! I feel all special and privileged to know this wayyy before Ferrari would want just an average Joe like me knowing about it. I know the car was rumored about, about 6 months ago, but I can now confirm it is coming!
Then he continued on about his Speciale, Speciale A, regular LaFerrri, the F12tdf he has on the way, his FXXK, his private jet, stories from his Challenge series racing, stories about taking delivery of his FXXK, simulator experiences, and about which events he was planning on going to around the world to race his FXXK. It was pretty cool to hear about all of that, I was in shock at the multitude and magnitude of his Ferrari experiences that he shared. I’m sure he could’ve gone on, and on, and on, it was so cool!
And he let me sit in his 488GTB which was also a treat:)

I personally think the Ferrari XX program, no matter how randomly discriminative it is at times, is a fantastic thing to have in the car world and they do some amazing stuff in those events, even more so when accompanied by the Corsa Clienti owners, those programs to me are the stuff dreams are made of and I think it’s fantastic it exists.
I’ve heard about the Spider in social media for a while now, they made it public about a couple of weeks ago in Geneva and started sending out invites for it...
Pretty spectacular for “just” an unveiling invite, it comes with a Blank Ferrari key inside.

Didn’t realize he had a Speciale A as well, but his black and grey Speciale was the first one I saw. There’s one guy (the dude with all the GABE personalized plates) who has matching Speciale and Speciale A cars, did this guy do the same thing?

I can’t get into the exotics at meets, because I know the guy (or gal) doesn’t work on it. A guy shows up with a rolling money bag and I don’t know what to say, it’s fast, it’s very nice, you have no idea how it works, I’m ordering another one without a top next time... ok

I remember those Speciale’s! Super cool!
I haven’t seen his Speciale A, he just told me about it. His 488 GTB is black though.

I hear ya, and agree to a point. But this guy knows his stuff. He is big in the XX program and the Challenge racing series and is supposedly quite good.
I like the exotics for what they are. I like ‘project’/work-on cars for what they are. I can find pros and cons to both, but nonetheless, they are all made for the same purpose: to put a smile on your face.

Yeah, as crazy as buying identical cars is, he spec’d them out quite nicely.
Interesting, he seems to go for black and yellow cars. I heard his FXXK is black and yellow, his LaF is black and yellow, and his Speciale is black and now his 488 is black...
Unfortunately I didn't make it out today, I had a later than expected night last night and didn't get up in time.

His LaFerrari is triple yellow. The wheels might be black, but the body is all yellow. Idk what color his FXXK is.
Gotcha. I won’t be out there next month, but I will in June.
If I get time tomorrow I'll try and post some pics I took today

Oh, let me clarify: I guess I meant yellow with black for the LaF. (roof, gas cap, wheels)
He said at a different show I was at once that the FXXK was some custom yellow and black paint job, haven’t seen it in person though.
And yeah, if you got around to it that'd be great, would love to see them.
